Damn thirsty.

It's nearly 2am.

And i'm damn thirsty. Damn thirsty, I say. What it must be like to go without water for a long time. To not have access to it. Me? I can go get a drink from my kitchen any time i want, i'm just lazy (despite being damn thirsty).

What about hungry? Well, i'm not hungry, just thirsty, but what if I were? Still, i could go get some food from my kitchen. Not everyone has that. Think about that. I mean, really. Don't just say "oh, yeah, i know i know". Actually think about that the next time you're mildly hungry or thirsty. The next time you say to someone "oh, let's go get something to eat, i'm starving." You're not "starving". You're "hungry". Starving is a whole other game.

I'm damn thirsty though.

A letter of intent to Blogger.com

Light's Slowly Fade Up
(Brendan stands in single spotlight, surrounded by vast darkness)

Alright. Cool. So this is the place, huh? (Brendan looks around, nodding) Nice. Nice place you got. I'll take it. For now anyway. Yeah, well, hopefully we'll be moving on to bigger and better things at some point, but i'm pretty sure I could use this for a while. Besides, I can't beat the price, right? (Laughs)

What do I do? Oh, um....i'm a sort of "small business contractor". Yeah, a private contractor. Well, people hire me for various services.

Playing pretend.

No, you heard me right, "playing pretend". Sometimes I play pretend, sometimes I assist others in playing pretend, sometimes I tell people how to play pretend, or what to pretend. It's a thriving enterprise, really. No, really, it is. Playing pretend. You'd be surprised how much people will pay to watch the other people play pretend. It's remarkable! (Laughs some more)

How much? Oh, um, well...not much presently. But I hope to change that. Yeah, right, that's not what I do it for. Right.

...Right.

Anyway, see, I figured I could use a place like this to keep stuff. Yeah, you know, all the stuff that builds up in my other warehouse. Yeah, I have an older one, i've had it about 25 years now. It does the job, I guess, but I can't really have visitors, or share anything with the public, you know? I figure that with a second, more open warehouse, I could do that. Let people in on things, on what's going on with me, with my work, with my life, and so on. Maybe no one will be interested, but hey, maybe they will. Maybe some will.

Either way, I think it'll be good for me. And besides. It's a nice place. A really nice place.
